When you arrive, look for the sanctuary entrance and one of our greeters will meet you at the door, point you toward Sunday School or worship, and help with anything you need.
What to wear? Whatever you're comfortable in. You'll see folks in suits and ties, jeans and t-shirts, and everything in between. Come as you are!
Sunday School (9:30 AM) is our small-group hour. Classes are organized by age and life stage, and they're a great way to meet people and dig into the Bible together. We can help you find the right class on your first visit.
Morning Worship (10:30 AM) is about an hour and fifteen minutes. We sing together, pray together, hear God’s Word read, and receive a sermon from God's Word. The music is led by a worship team and choir; the preaching is straight from the Bible.
You won't be singled out. We don't ask guests to stand, raise a hand, or wear a name tag. Sit wherever you'd like and just take it in.
We love having kids at Hillcrest, and we want both you and them to have a great day.
Nursery/Preschool (Birth – 5 years) is available during Sunday School, Morning Worship, and Wednesday evening. Our nursery team is screened, trained, and ready to love on your little ones.
Children (K–6th grade) start the service with their parents, then are dismissed to Kid's Worship before the sermon for a time designed just for them with Bible teaching at their level. We also have Sunday School and Wednesday Night Bible Study for them too.
Family Worship Sunday, typically happens on the 4th Sunday of every month. On those Sundays, kids stay in the service with their families. We believe worshiping together as a family is a gift, and this gives parents and kids a regular rhythm of doing it side by side.

How long is the service? About an hour and fifteen minutes.
Where do I park? Plenty of parking is available in our lot, with clearly marked handicap-accessible spaces near the entrances. We're still working on better signage for visitor parking, so if it's your first time, the easiest thing to do is park wherever you find a spot and head for the nearest entrance. One of our greeters will meet you and help you from there. You're also welcome to call ahead at (423) 586-0693 and we'll walk you through where to park.
Is the building accessible? Yes. You can reach both our 1st and 2nd floors without using stairs, depending on which parking lot you use, just look for the entrance closest to ground level. Our sanctuary and ministry areas are all accessible this way. The only part of our building that requires stairs is the 3rd floor (Kid’s and Youth Area). If you'd like help figuring out the best entrance for your visit, give us a call at (423) 586-0693 and we'll point you in the right direction.
Will I be asked to give money? Giving is part of our worship together. It is an expression of gratitude for what God has done for us in Christ. We take an offering during the service, but it's for those who call Hillcrest home. As our guest, please don't feel any pressure to participate. We're simply glad you're here.
Can I just come and check things out without committing to anything? Absolutely. Come as often as you'd like. Sit in the back, take it in, and decide what's next on your timeline.
We'd love to answer them. Reach out anytime.
